Agreement between Mayor Gualtieri and Mayor of Tibilisi Kaladze

On Tuesday 6 December, the mayor of Rome Roberto Gualtieri met a Georgian delegation led by the mayor of Tbilisi K’akhaber K’aladze, known in Italy for having spent years wearing the shirt of the Milan football team.

The institutional meeting allowed the two first citizens to sign a memorandum of understanding between the two capitals, which aims to strengthen the collaboration between the signatory cities across the board, starting from sectors such as culture, urban regeneration, the energy transition, digital innovation. This agreement aims not only to strengthen a partnership between the two states through the symbolic union of their respective capitals but also to support Italy’s pro-European aspirations in Georgia, as Kaladze said at the end of the visit.
