Call for applications for young Italian and/or French artists – A contemporary look at the Farnese

To enhance the Farnese architecture, the Embassy offers contemporary artists the opportunity to cast their gaze on the history of the Palace, with the application “A contemporary look at the Farnese”. The palisade in via del Mascherone will therefore be made available to twenty young artists who will be able to use this space to express their vision of the building: the characters who have animated its history, who have participated in its construction, design, architecture… The selected artists will benefit from the curatorship of Aristide Barraud, a French artist living in Italy who transforms walls into a space of creation and poetry through his collages of texts and photographs, and of Guido D’Angelo, painter and professor at RUFA (Academy of Fine Arts Rome). After JonOne, Olivier Grossetête and JR, the French Embassy is proposing a call for applications for young Italian and/or French artists wishing to participate in this project, halfway between history and the future.
