Easter at Bioparco

On 7, 8 and 9 April (Easter) 2023 at the Bioparco in Rome, there will be various ‘egg’ themed activities for families. “Not everyone has a surprise” is the title of the guided tour to discover the animals that lay their eggs to reproduce. The route will touch snowy owls, South American area, emus, ostriches that lay the largest egg in the world, and Cape penguins. And then many other curiosities about the shapes and adaptations of eggs in very different animals. The visit is free, upon reservation to be made the same morning at the entrance.

From 11.00 to 17.00 in the “Record Eggs” station it will be possible to observe egg models of all sizes and participate in an amusing quiz game to discover curiosities about the eggs of reptiles, amphibians, birds and even mammals.

It will also be possible to participate in the ‘Animals and Prejudices’ activity, special close encounters, organized by the staff of the Bioparco, with royal pythons, blower cockroaches, stick insects, toads, of which it will be possible to observe egg models. Animals that can inspire fear or disgust, but fascinating and above all essential for the balance of ecosystems (activities by reservation to be carried out in the morning at the entrance).

During the days the guardians will organize the meals of the animals, to discover the ingredients of the lunch of Japanese macaques, ring-tailed lemurs, Asian elephants, bears, chimpanzees, fur seals and Cape penguins.

All the initiatives described are included in the ticket price. More information on www.bioparco.it
