“Peace – Democracy – Solidarity” are the themes of the “EU Open Day” the day of “open doors”, established to celebrate Europe Day, in memory of Minister Schuman’s declaration to the French Parliament (May 9, 1950), wherein Europe’s institutions open their offices to the public.
On the occasion of this year’s celebration – scheduled for 6 May – the European Committee of the Regions is making its spaces available to the Regions and European cities concerned for cultural promotion initiatives (folklore, dance, entertainment, including music) with the aim of promoting and spreading the different cultural traditions and approaches of the various European countries.
