Yesterday 9 May Europe Day was celebrated to remember that on this date in 1950 there was the declaration issued by the then French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman proposing the creation of a European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC), i whose members would pool coal and steel production.
The EU institutions organized a wide range of activities this year in all Member States, as well as at the headquarters of the EU institutions in Brussels, Luxembourg and Strasbourg. 2023 is the European Year of Skills, whereby the EU aims to help people get the right skills for quality jobs and businesses to tackle skills shortages.
