Conference “Sustainable architecture and contemporary Argentine visions”

Monday 29 April at 10 am in the Auditorium Instituto Guimarães Rosa, Embassy of Brazil, a conference dedicated to the exhibition “América Latina, living na contemporaneidade. Sustained architectural views/living in the contemporary. Visiones de arquitectura sostenible” will be held, curated by architect Paola Pisanelli Nero.

The conference aims to be an opportunity to explore the importance of the sustainable contribution of contemporary architecture in Latin America which maintains, experiments and uses natural materials, revealing a history and an ancestral technical culture that is still alive. Architect Pisanelli Nero will illustrate his research, which includes the participation of 45 Latin American studios with 90 projects and built works. 3 projects will then be explored in depth, thanks to the participation of 3 Argentine architecture firms: Barrionuevo Villanueva Arquitectos, MGHS Oficina de Arquitectura and APS – Pablo Senmartin.

After the conference, the curator of the exhibition and the architects present will lead a guided tour of the multimedia and immersive exhibition set up in the adjacent spaces of the Candido Portinari Gallery.

The exhibition “América Latina, living na contemporaneidade. Sustained architectural views/living in the contemporary. Visiones de arquitectura sostenible” is created by the IILA – Italian-Latin American International Organization, in collaboration with the Embassy of Brazil in Italy and with the contribution of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (DGCS/MAECI) and the CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean.
