Film “Zvezda”

On May 9, 2024, Russia will celebrate the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Celebrations will be held across the country.

On May 8th at 6.30 pm the Casa Russa in Rome will host the screening of the war film “Zvezda” (“Star”). The film, awarded the State Prize of the Russian Federation, is set in 1944 on the western border of the Soviet Union. It tells about the fate of young intelligence officers who completed their mission at the cost of their lives.

The film is based on the story of the same name by Mikhail Kazakevich, the characters were inspired by real people. The Producer “Mosfilm” defined the film as one of the most successful war films shot in the film studio.

The screening will be held as part of the new Russian House Cinema Club in Rome, dedicated to the centenary of “Mosfilm”. Screenings in Russian with Italian subtitles will take place once a month
