Giacomo Matteotti. Life and death of a father of democracy

On the occasion of the centenary of his death, the human and political journey of Giacomo Matteotti is celebrated by a major exhibition, hosted from 1 March to 16 June at the Museum of Rome in Palazzo Braschi.

The exhibition “Giacomo Matteotti. Life and death of a father of democracy” retraces the life of the socialist leader, deputy and secretary of the Socialist Unity Party (PSU), from his youthful beginnings to his national affirmation, from the battles for democracy to the opposition to fascism, of which he understood among the first the totalitarian nature, up to the brutal murder perpetrated by the Mussolini regime.
