Friendship concert of the Italian Choir and the soloists of the Italian-Japanese Association of Sendai – a city north of Tokyo, capital of Miyagi Prefecture, Tōhoku Region, the city closest to the epicenter of the very violent earthquake and tsunami that hit the Japan in 2011 – directed by Masami SANNOMIYA and Mariko Yamauchi on piano, and the extraordinary participation of tenor Takahiro SASAKI and pianist Ai WATANABE

The program includes Japanese and Italian popular melodies, as well as arias from the classical repertoire. Music by Arcadelt • Ginastera • Lenar • Mascagni • Migliacci • Mogol • Okano • Puccini • Schubert • Taki •Tosti • Verdi • Yamada. A musical moment that was born as a tribute to celebrate the shared values ​​of friendship, generosity and spirit of brotherhood between our two countries. A moment of meeting between different cultures which will be increasingly profitable also thanks to Italian participation in the Universal Exhibition which will be held on the artificial island of Yumeshima in Osaka from 13 April to 13 October 2025
