Free museums on the first Sunday of the month

On 4 June, the first Sunday of the month, the traditional possibility of visiting the spaces of the Museum System of Rome Capital and some archaeological areas of the city such as the Circus Maximus (from 9.30 to 19, last admission at 18) and the Imperial Forums returns for free (entrance from Trajan’s Column from 9 to 19.15, last admission one hour before).

These are the civic museums open: Musei Capitolini; Markets of Trajan – Museum of the Imperial Forums; Ara Pacis Museum; Montemartini plant; Museum of Rome in Palazzo Braschi; Museum of Rome in Trastevere; Gallery of Modern Art; Museums of Villa Torlonia; Serra Moresca of Villa Torlonia; Civic Museum of Zoology; Giovanni Barracco Museum of Ancient Sculpture; Carlo Bilotti Museum – Orangery of Villa Borghese; Pietro Canonica Museum in Villa Borghese; Napoleonic Museum; Museum of the Roman Republic and Garibaldi memory; Casal de’ Pazzi Museum; Museum of the Walls; Villa of Maxentius.

The initiative is promoted by Roma Capitale, Department of Culture – Capitoline Superintendency for Cultural Heritage. Free admission compatibly with the capacity of the sites. Reservations required only for groups at the Roma Capitale contact center 060608 (9 am – 7 pm).
