Giro d’Italia 2023

Yesterday Wednesday 15 February it was announced in the Campidoglio in the presence of the mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri, that the final stage of the next Giro d’Italia will be Rome. It will be the fifth time in the history of the Giro Rosa. The final stage is scheduled for May 28 with departure at 15:20 from Eur from the Square Colosseum and then moving to the Zodiac Fountain in Ostia until returning to the city. Cyclists will cross Corso Vittorio, the Lungotevere, Promenade di Ripetta, Villa Borghese, the Imperial Forums, Castel Sant’Angelo and will also pass via Conciliazione in front of St. Peter’s Basilica. Arrival with a view of the Colosseum between the Imperial Forums and the Altare della Patria, expected around 18:45 and subsequent awarding of the winners.

Also present with the Mayor at the announcement were the president of Coni Giovanni Malagò, the city councilor for Sport and Major events, Alessandro Onorato, and the president of RCS MediaGroup, Urbano Cairo.
