After the 2021 edition which brought together nearly 5,000 visitors, the Notte Bianca returns to Villa Medici on Thursday 17 November and celebrates the work of sixteen fellows, a resident and a guest artist of the French Academy in Rome. From the visual arts to the theater, passing through the history of art, cinema, musical composition, literature and choreography, the dialogue between artistic practices will be at the center of this highlight of the cultural season of Villa Medici.
Event dedicated to contemporary creation, the White Night is an invitation to a night walk through the gardens and historic spaces of Villa Medici, some of which are exceptionally open to the public. Many of the artistic proposals are created in close harmony with the history and architecture of Villa Medici and encourage dialogue between heritage and contemporary creation.
