Mattarella pays tribute to the victims of the Fosse Ardeatine

On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the Fosse Ardeatine massacre, which occurs today, the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, accompanied by the Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto went to the Mausoleum to pay homage to the 335 victims, including civilians and soldiers, slaughtered in Rome on March 24, 1944 by occupying German troops.

Other institutional figures also took part on the stage set up for the commemoration, among others, the president of the Senate Ignazio La Russa, the president of the Chamber, Lorenzo Fontana, the mayor of Rome Roberto Gualtieri, the vice president of the Lazio Region, Roberta Angelilli.
