Opening of Palazzo Farnese to the public on 24 September

Also this year Palazzo Farnese, seat of the French Embassy in Italy and the École Française de Rome will open its doors to the public on Saturday 24 September, on the occasion of the European Heritage Days.

The agents of the Embassy and the members of the École française will welcome visitors from 9 to 19 to let them discover or rediscover the emblematic spaces of the Palace. It will be possible to walk through the monumental Hall of Hercules, which often welcomes the public on the occasion of the rich programming of dialogues and events organized at Palazzo Farnese, the magnificent Gallery decorated with the famous frescoes by the Carracci brothers and also known as the ” Little Sistine ”, and the Salone dei fasti Farnesiani, rarely accessible to the public as it houses the office of the ambassador, Christian Masset.

The Palace will be accessible only by reservation. The visits, lasting about 75 minutes, will be free for the occasion and will take place from 9 am to 7.15 pm, with last admission at 6 pm. Reservations will be open from Friday 16 September at 12 noon. To book the visit click HERE.
