Honorable Prime Minister of the Government of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina sent 1000 (thousand) kg of mango (Amrupali-eminent among the elite varieties) as a gift to Mr. Sergio Mattarella, Honorable President, Mr. Mario Draghi, Honorable President of the Council of Ministers / Prime Minister and Mr. Luigi Di Maio, Hon. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Italian Republic.
Received through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka, Embassy of Bangladesh in Rome, Italy successfully completed distribution on 18 July 2022 to the Quirinale-President’s Palace, Palazzo Chigi- Prime Minister’s Residence and office of the Chief of Diplomatic Protocol, Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
H.E. Mr. Md. Shameem Ahsan, Ambassador to Italy, Mr. Md. Jasim Uddin, Counsellor(Political), Mr. Md. Saiful Islam, First Secretary (Passport & Visa Wing) and Mr. Ashfaqur Rahman, Second Secretary(Political) were received by senior officials at the Quirinale, Palazzo Chigi and Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to receive the symbolic boxes at the respective offices. The Italian side, while receiving the seasonal fresh mangoes grown in Bangladesh, sincerely thanked the Honourable Prime Minister of Bangladesh for the friendly gesture to the Italian leadership at a happy moment when both countries are celebrating 50 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
