
The seventh edition of the Italian Design Day (IDD) was presented at the Farnesina, entitled “The quality that illuminates: the energy of design for people and the environment“. Moderated by the “Interni” journalist Patrizia Catalano, it was opened by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, and was attended by the Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso, and the Director General for Contemporary Creativity of the MIC, Onofrio Cutaia. Qualified interlocutors from the Italian production chain of the “design” sector also attended, including the designer Patricia Urquiola; the president of the Triennale, Stefano Boeri; the president of the Industrial Design Association, Luciano Galimberti; the president of the Salone del Mobile in Milan, Maria Porro; the president of ICE Agency, Matteo Zoppas.
For the occasion, a reduced version of the “Light on Made in Italy” exhibition was set up at the Farnesina, which will be exhibited by the foreign network on the occasion of Design Day, on Italian know-how through the stories of an anthology of companies and of designers who have been able to instill talent and innovation in the creation of original and high-quality products.
