Weekend in Rome – 20th and 21st April

What to do in Rome on the weekend of 20th and 21st April 2024? Here are some suggestions:

Argentina Festival: after the event dedicated to Africa and Greece, the third edition of the Argentina Festival returns to the Snodo del Mandrione. On Sunday 21 April from 12.00 to 21.00 it will be possible to taste the typical food, listen to the music and have the experience of the folklore of the wonderful South American country. What are you waiting? It will be a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in Argentine culture, without leaving Rome.
Free entry with free offer.

Music Day Rome: on the occasion of the world day dedicated to record shops and vinyl lovers, Music Day will be held in Rome on 20 and 21 April 2024, a day dedicated to the history of music from the 1950s to today. In this edition, among others, Piotta, Tullio De Piscopo, Guido & Maurizio De Angelis, Giampiero Ingrassia, Massimo Vanni, Giuseppe Pambieri, etc. will be present.
Free entrance.

Science Festival 2024: this weekend is the last opportunity to participate in the Science Festival 2024 at the Ennio Morricone Auditorium Parco della Musica. This year’s edition is “Errors and Wonders”. From the geocentric system to the erroneous beliefs of Guglielmo Marconi on the propagation of electromagnetic waves, up to the Gallery of Errors of Enzo Ferrari, error is a fundamental ally in the processes of knowledge, innovation and learning.

Una movida bárbara by Ouka Leele: this week the personal exhibition of Ouaka Leele, the famous Spanish photographer, was inaugurated. The initiative, at the Museum of Rome in Trastevere, proposes the exhibition not only of the artist’s photographs, but also part of his pictorial production, such as the Floreale and El Cantar de los Cantares series.
Full ticket 12 euros; free entry for MIC card holders.

Earth Village: did you know that Earth Day is celebrated on April 22nd? From 18 to 21 April 2024 in Rome there will be the Village for the Earth with concerts, shows, sports activities, educational workshops, activities for children, thematic meetings and artistic and cultural performances at the Galappatoio and the Terrazza del Pincio of Villa Borghese.
The activities are free and will be available from 9.00 to 19.00.

Don’t forget that Sunday 21 April marks the birthday of the Eternal City known as Rome’s Christmas. Legend has it that on 21 April 753 BC Romulus founded the city. On the occasion of the city’s birthday, many events have been organised: from gladiator shows and historical re-enactments of the Roman Historical Group to the reopening of the municipal Rose Garden.
