Loss of soil fertility is one of the main degradation processes that threatens nutrition and is recognized as one of the most important global problems for food security and sustainability worldwide. World Soil Day 2022 (#WorldSoilDay) and its ‘Soil: Where nutrition begins‘ campaign aims to raise awareness of the importance of maintaining healthy ecosystems and human well-being by addressing growing management challenges of soil, raising soil awareness and encouraging societies to improve soil health.
